Our Golf Professionals

Chris Cauthen

PGA Head Golf Professional 


Chris has received recognition and multiple awards from the Middle Tennessee Chapter and TN Section PGA! Most recently, Chris was recognized as the 2020 Tennessee Section PGA Golf Professional of the Year and the 2023 Bill Strausbaugh Award winner. As Head Golf Professional for Westhaven Golf Club, Chris brings tremendous energy and enthusiasm toward promoting the game of golf to the entire family. From the development of a complete junior golf program to clinics for men and women, Chris enjoys teaching the game to all ages and skill levels. 


Stephen Mead

Assistant Golf Professional 


Stephen Mead started playing golf at a young age with his brother and father in Stafford, NY. He attended the University of North Dakota where he studied managerial finance and accounting. He spent his summers working at Cathedral of the Pines a youth summer camp where he was the activities coordinator. He then started in the golf business by working in Northern Ohio as a Club Fitter specializing in Callaway. In June of 2017 Stephen joined Westhaven as an Assistant Golf Professional.  He is currently working on his PGA status through the apprenticeship program as he works at Westhaven.


Gavin McClellan

Assistant Golf Professional 


Gavin was introduced to golf at the early age of 3 by his father and grandfather in Church Hill, TN. He played competitive golf through the end of his high school career and finished as an all-conference golfer his junior and senior seasons. He graduated from East Tennessee State University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science with concentrations in Marketing and Sports Management. He began working in the golf industry in June of 2019 at Five Oaks Golf and Country Club in Lebanon, TN as an Assistant Golf Professional. Gavin started at Westhaven Golf Club in June 2021 as an Assistant Golf Professional and is currently working on his PGA status through the apprenticeship program.


Ben Pellicani

PGA Teaching Professional


Ben was most recently recognized as the 2023 Tennessee Section PGA Teacher of the Year and has been recognized on multiple occasions as the “Best Young Teachers in America”.  He was recently voted third on the “Best in State” list for all instructors in Tennessee by Golf Digest! Ben believes that everyone can enjoy the game of golf through solid fundamentals and good practice habits. Kim Williams 

LPGA Golf Instructor


Kim Williams is an LPGA professional with over 20 years on tour. She competed as a full-time professional LPGA tour player from 1987 to 2012. Kim has taught at the GolfDC Academy, (Washington, D.C.) and GOLFTEC (Brentwood, TN). As an LPGA Teaching Professional and LPGA player, Kim passes along her knowledge and skill to clients of all ages including men, women and children. Chuck Hammett

Professional Instructor


Chuck discovered his love for golf while growing up in Venice, Florida – tutored by PGA professional Jim Duval. He eventually earned a golf scholarship to Stetson University and turned professional after graduating. Chuck has instructed golf at the Bill Skelley School of Golf in Destin and partnered with PGA Tour member Kenny Knox to start a golf academy in Tallahassee. He has authored a golf instructional book and has an extensive background in lecturing and public speaking.

Tim Sygerych

Master Clubfitter


Tim began his career at Golfsmith, which led him to join the prestigious Faldo Golf Institute where he performed club fitting and repair services for top touring professionals. His clients include PGA Tour players Nick Faldo, Brian Gay, Frank Nobilo, Ty Tryon, and Jay Williamson. His LPGA clients include Karen Stupples and Se Ri-Pak. He has also fitted clubs for celebrities such as Ken Griffey Jr. and Justin Timberlake!


Tim has recently been recognized as a Top 100 fitter by PING and Callaway Golf and ranked in the top 5 fitters for TaylorMade in 2024.
